Wilfred Proudfoot has spent much of his life communicating - first as a Technical Training Instructor in the RAF where he taught hundreds of conscripts (pressed men) stuff they weren't really bothered about. He took it as a challenge to interest them and keep them entertained - an achievement he still remembers with pride.

He spent eight years and many speeches on his local council then was returned to the House of Commons where he was for two separate parliaments totalling eight years. He has spoken at thousands of meetings all over the country, again always guided by his desire to help and interest people. Indeed his wife, who had to sit through a hundred public meetings at one General Election Campaign said "It was no chore as he was always interesting to listen to!

He approaches hypnosis with total commitment, and a light touch understanding that he is teaching adults, whom he respects as being individual and unique.

He always feels teaching to a volunteer audience is a wonderful piece of luck, where he is paid for doing things he enjoys best, Hypnotising and Communication.
He believes everyone has the ability to grow and that it is a choice they have - he wants always to continue to learn - and learns from every class he conducts.

His enthusiasm and commitment is an inspiration to his students.

He has been to Virginia Satir's "months long" during 1985, 86 and 87 at Crested Butte, high in the Rockies of Colorado.

Virginia Satir and Milton H Erikson were the prime sources of NLP.

In August 1999 he was asked to present at the NGH National Guild of Hypnotists in Nassau, New Hampshire which was attended by over 1,200 people. He conducted a "parts party" and gave a lecture on Virginia Satirs' major contribution towards NLP.
